Why we serve. Who serves. What happens when people come together.
Numbers tell us how many children we reached.
Photos show us what happened.
Project reports document what we accomplished.
But stories tell us why it matters.
At the Kiwanis Club of Lubao Gems, our stories introduce the people, experiences and moments behind our service.
They show what inspires our members, what brings people together and what happens when a community, volunteers and partners work toward a common purpose.
WHY WE SERVE
Every Kiwanian Has a Reason.
What inspires someone to give time to children?
What makes a member continue serving year after year?
What happens when service becomes part of someone’s life?
Why We Serve explores the motivation, values and personal experiences behind our commitment to the Kiwanis mission.
These stories are about the heart behind the service.
A service project is never just a date, a budget or a list of donated items.
There are children waiting for help.
There are communities opening their doors.
There are members doing the work.
There are volunteers giving their time.
There are partners and donors making things possible.
And there are moments that remain long after the project is finished.
Project Stories takes you behind individual KC-Lubao Gems initiatives to discover the people, challenges, partnerships and experiences that made them meaningful.
Explore stories from initiatives such as Gift of Hope, Gift of Music, Indigenous Community Service, Lambiki Coastal Outreach, education support and other community projects.

THE STORY CONTINUES
Since our beginnings in 2012, generations of Kiwanians, volunteers and partners have contributed to the KC-Lubao Gems story.
Some became leaders.
Some organized projects.
Some donated.
Some volunteered.
Some opened doors to communities.
Some worked quietly behind the scenes.
Each contribution became part of our journey.
And the story is still being written.
Perhaps your story will become part of it.
