The Joy of Division Council Meetings: Leadership, Unity, and Service
The air buzzes with energy as leaders of Division 2B gather each month for the much-anticipated Division Council Meeting (DCM). Under the dynamic leadership of Lieutenant Governor Reynaldo M. Bonaobra, these gatherings are more than just meetings—they are celebrations of camaraderie, unity, and our shared mission to serve the children.
Every month, one of the clubs in the division takes on the role of host, transforming the venue into a hub of collaboration and fellowship. The meetings begin with earnest discussions about how to improve our service projects and bring our ideas to life. Whether brainstorming new initiatives or refining current ones, each voice contributes to our shared goal of making a lasting impact on the lives of children.

Fun, Fellowship, and Adventure in Leadership
Being a Kiwanian means being part of something larger than yourself. The DCMs are a perfect example of this spirit. Leaders from different clubs come together as friends, united by their passion for service. The lively exchanges of ideas are punctuated with laughter, encouragement, and the occasional lighthearted joke, making the atmosphere both productive and enjoyable.
A hallmark of our meetings is the fellowship that follows. It’s more than just sharing a meal—though the food is always delicious! Fellowship often includes bonding like singing, swimming, endless chitchats, and creating cherished memories together.
One of the most exciting aspects is the opportunity to travel to beautiful destinations like Palawan for certain DCMs. Everyone eagerly anticipates the chance to blend leadership with adventure. The experience of strengthening relationships amidst Palawan’s stunning scenery makes the effort and expense worthwhile. Whether exploring beaches, bonding over shared experiences, or simply enjoying the journey, these trips bring our team closer and leave lasting memories.

The Wisdom of Elders and the Spirit of Unity
A special highlight of our meetings is the presence of the elders of Division 2B. These seasoned Kiwanians, who have dedicated decades to serving through Kiwanis, provide invaluable guidance and wisdom. Their stories of perseverance and triumph inspire newer members to lead with integrity and compassion.
The bond among Kiwanians is truly unique. Everyone treats each other with warmth and respect, creating a culture of genuine camaraderie. This mutual support strengthens our division and helps us tackle challenges with confidence.
Good Leadership: A Kiwanian Legacy
At the heart of every successful service project is strong leadership, and the Division Council Meetings are a testament to this. Good leaders are not just decision-makers; they are collaborators, motivators, and friends. The DCMs give us the opportunity to learn from each other, grow as leaders, and refine our approach to serving the children.
Leadership in Kiwanis is not a solitary journey but a shared adventure. It’s about working hand in hand, lifting each other up, and focusing on our common cause.

Proud to Be a Kiwanian
Every DCM reminds us of why we joined Kiwanis: to make a difference in the lives of children while building meaningful relationships along the way. It’s a source of pride to be part of a group where each member is committed to serving with joy and dedication.
From productive discussions to lively fellowships, and from swimming and singing to unforgettable trips to Palawan, Division Council Meetings are the perfect blend of service, fun, and camaraderie. These experiences enrich our bonds as a team and empower us to serve the children better.
