Continuous Learning Education (CLE) and Leadership Turnover in Division 2B
On July 13, 2024, the Continuous Learning Education (CLE) workshop, held at Kiwanis Hall in Angeles City, Pampanga, was a pivotal moment for the leaders of Kiwanis Division 2B. Led by Lt. Gov. Reynaldo M. Bonaobra and the Philippine Luzon District’s (PLD) Education Team, this event embodied the famous quote, “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other” spoken by John F. Kennedy.
The CLE workshop was more than just a formal training; it was a joyful experience filled with collaboration, enthusiasm, and a sense of camaraderie. Leaders from across Division 2B gathered to sharpen their skills and learn the latest strategies to enhance their clubs. The interactive sessions and lively activities, led by the district educators, made the learning process fun and engaging. Each group had its own fun cheer, and there was constant laughter as participants worked through challenges and games designed to boost both leadership and teamwork. The day was filled with big smiles, proving that learning together fosters strong bonds and enduring friendships.
Following this, on September 21, 2024, the Lt. Governor Turnover Ceremony marked a significant moment for Division 2B. Outgoing Lt. Gov. Maria Theresa Dizon proudly passed the leadership, represented by the gong and gavel, to Lt. Gov. Rey Bonaobra, a historic achievement for the Kiwanis Club of Lubao Gems. Lt. Gov. Rey is the third lieutenant governor to come from our club, and we are incredibly proud to see him leading the Division. His leadership symbolizes our club’s dedication to both service and leadership.
In addition to this, a second Turnover Ceremony took place, where the leadership of club officers was officially handed over under the guidance of Lt. Gov. Rey and Division 2B elders. This leadership transition sets the tone for a new chapter of impactful service.
During the President’s Conference, Lt. Gov. Rey laid out the five priority areas for club improvement:
Membership and engagement
Leadership development and education
Community impact
Branding and image
Financial viability
These focus areas aim to strengthen the Division’s capacity to serve underprivileged children and ensure the clubs’ sustainability.
After the ceremonies, the event transitioned into a joyful fellowship. Kiwanians gathered, shared stories, and celebrated their shared purpose: serving the children of the world. This moment was a true testament to the spirit of Kiwanis—where service, learning, and leadership come together in harmony.
The CLE and Turnover Ceremony exemplify the importance of continuous learning and leadership in Kiwanis. They also reflect the vibrant energy of Division 2B, where fun, fellowship, and service go hand-in-hand. We are proud of Lt. Gov. Rey’s leadership and look forward to more meaningful work under his guidance.
These events were not just about leadership transitions but about the shared commitment to improving the lives of children. If you’re looking for a way to make a difference, joining Kiwanis is an excellent opportunity. And whether you’re near or far, Kiwanis clubs are always ready to welcome new members. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to serve with joy, pride, and unity!
